My Griff 500 revved to 6,400 on Austec's rolling road! God knows where the rev limiter is, but I thought it was generally 6,250 on the 500s.

Thanks for the replies. I've got the car for a day as a courtesy car while my 4.2 Cerbera is being serviced (thanks Dream Machines).

Really enjoyed the drive back from the garage. Was surprised at the "snap" from the Rover V8 when compared to the Cerbera. The 500 gets on the power a lot quicker than the Cerbera but my Cerbera keeps pulling on to about 7250 (well that's when the buzzer sounds ), the Cerbera's power tends to kick in from about 3500 revs onwards (hoping to get this rectified with a new ECU in the not to distant future).

According to Mark Adams, the rev limit on mine (97 chim 500) was 6000 revs, he then raised it to 6250 revs.
