Rear mesh ...help

been looking to replace the rear mesh on the Nob
with something with bigger holes ,halfords do some which is perfect but its not quite big enough anyone got any ideas where i can get some from ? thanks Simon

Before I went the carbon slat route I spent a fair bit of time looking at mesh, the problem was that most easily available mesh comes in 1 metre lengths and you need just over a metre, I do have access to sheet metal shops as well but once I sourced a sutable mesh with good enough flow the carbon route was more cost effective for a one off.

You can get mesh grille on eBay wide enough

depending on what type of airflow you want (cant remember what was on the rear) these stock pretty much everything with a % airflow attached on some. http://www.fhbrundle.com/mesh.htm

Yes, without getting very clever you will never prove it actually works, you could make them out of Delrin strip, would be straight forward and is off the shelf, I went for over the top strenght as I cut so many holes in the clam.

Aero section makes alot of sense as it "should" speed up the air flow although as you say how you prove it !! in fact you could go for flat top aero section to increase down force as well !!! but wether you would notice any improvements is another question .
What is delrin strip ? not heard of it .

do you get any issues with the smaller number plate ?? police round her are dead keen on this sort of thing !!!

Just wondering Adrian whether you have noticed a difference in the running temp of your car? Im just waiting for my roush system to be made, have got the pro alloy inter and hard pipe kit with oil breather and would see it as money well spent with the improvements you have made if it helped cool the car engine as well as looking far better than the mesh which frankly i cant stand and would love to get rid of. Think that would be a great option for me just helps justify the cost if it works.

Did you fit or did they? Would it be poss to get a discount if there were a few of us interested.

I'm sure if you speak to Simon at Reverie he would do something, the grill was a joint effort but i would suggest getting them to fit it wouldn't be cost effective, on a hot summers day on track my car will maintain 100-110 degrees, on the road 85-95. however please remember I have a Mountune race engine and it does run cooler. (even with an 8000 rev limit) in the early days on the racecar we had over heating problems and removing the grills was enough to maintain sensible temps.
