Just ordered a car with a leather interior (non-perforated/vented, as it wasn't on the option list). These hot few days have got me thinking - am I in for a sweaty arse crack experience or no worse than normal fabric?

Sweaty arse crack. Even with AC on you always end up with a bit of damp between you and the cow.

Bit warm when first getting into car. After about 3-5 minutes of having the AC on they're fine.

In my experience.

We've got the Black Valcona Leather in the A6, can't say we've ever had any soggy ass experience and it spends a few weeks in Southern France each year

Mine was a bit toasty when I first got in the car yesterday. Few minutes with the sunroof open and AC on 17c and I forgot all about it...

I've never had a problem with mine. Just try and avoid direct skin contact if they've been in the sun-light for long!

The BMW 7 series and some Mercedes have air cooled seats.

I believe the 'heated' seats in some high end Fords also have a cooling function.

Depends whether it is real or faux leather wink

Real being fine (it breathes).

I had black leather in my Passat and on hot days it was like sitting on fire and on cold days, like ice.

Still loved the leather though smile

it has to be said that leather seats and shorts dont mix. i had to leave a tshirt over the drivers seat as i was sticking to it. I dont have AC though, windows an sunroof are no where near the same!

My Dad's first car was a Renault 5 with plastic seats, that combined with a lack of A/C gives me nightmares! Also makes me appreciate just how lucky I am!!

yes in hot climates. There's a reason a lot of the SUVs come with cloth.

It was an option on the Mk3 Mondeo ST TDCi when you bought the full leather Recaro's.

Thought that you would have got it on the Focus ST3 with the full leather Recaro's but you dont. Swetty arse crack for me then.
