Has anyone found a Group1 forward facing car seat that fits in the BACK of a 996?

Cheers

I'm considering a 996 c2 daily so also interested, bit of a search and I think the Maxi Cosi Tobi and the Britax 2 way Elite are worth a try.

I'm considering fitting the seat in the front passenger side as this car will be just for me and a nursery drop off 1/2 week for my son :-).

Front crash protection should be better?

For the 996 this is improved from 2002 onwards, so I hear...

Maxi Cosi Tobi definitely fits. Remove the seat base, and spend some time getting the belt *really* tight. You can also pack under the seat with a rolled up towel to make things more stable. You can remove the seat back as well to get an extra inch or two of legroom, but I found the child seat was more secure with the seat back in.

The downsides are that the seat is quite high, so good for the little person's view, but you need to be careful it doesn't rub on the rear window trim. It's also more upright in a 996 than a normal car, so you find you have to use the seat reclined more often than not.
