Chrome Side Bits On XF - naff ?

My Spec blue XFR is coming next week and I have asked to see it before they fit the chrome gills Ive ordered, I have had a panic thinking I will spoil the cars looks fitting them

What is the general consensus ?

If you have other chrome accents, window surrounds, grille, wing mirror covers etc., then fine IMHO. Not sure 'chrome' would be my choice. The satin finish I had on my XKR vents I loved.

As std apart from a black grill as the plastic one looks poo, I didnt know satin was an option ??

It isn't! With the intro of the 5.0 V8, they stopped it with the XKR facelift.

I am with Triple on this, if you have other shiney bits then fine if not then no.

There is another option and from what I am told they are pretty good, the chrome 'over covers' you can get on Ebay, OK might seem a bit naff but at only £45 the pair at least you have a choice.

Chrome Side Gills - what ever happened to glorious understatment. Epitome of naffness. Chrome looks great on ashtrays in vodka bars.
