After two difficult quizzes (the second one is not yet resolved) I have a few questions about these Porsches. These have to be easier!

This Heidelberg Historic (Germany) entry should be a 1973 911 Carrera Targa according to the list. But I have never seen a car with those side air scoops... Was this a factory option...? Any idea?
UPDATE: probably a rebuilt targe

This car was parked near the Solitude Revival hillclimb. It is a 1980s 911 Cabrio. In those days, you could order the 911 Turbo Cabriolet or the 911 Carrera Cabriolet. And now the confusing part, you could order a Carrera Cabriolet with Turbo-look! It has never become clear to me how to distinguish a Carrera with Turbo-look from a true Turbo Cabriolet... Can you tell me what this is?

And the last one for now. We saw this car in Austria. It is based upon the 993, but is this a Gemballa, or just a factory car with a massive wing and, skirts and a front lip spoiler.
UPDATE: probably a 993RS with RSR spoiler.

Thanks!

1. I think those vents were fitted to the flat nose Turbo models.
2. I reckon that's a Carrera cabriolet, the rear arches don't look flared enough to be a Turbo.
3. I don't believe that to be a genuine Gemballa, the spoiler looks like it's from a 993 GT2. Don't hold me to this though.

Sure? The one with Club Sport package? It has a dual plane rear aerofoil, but I don't know what is ment by a "front splitter". That were the distinguishing features of a Club Sport package as far as I can find out.

1. It looks like a very early Porsche 930? It seems a mis-mash of parts that I don't think were seen really until a few years later on. The Targa roof, 930 front bumper, Flat-Nose side vents. Could well of been some sort of development car!

2. Simply unless you see the engine or badges it's very hard to tell, the whole point of a turbo styled extra is the fact it looks like a turbo.

3. Has to be a 993 GT2 or replica shirley?

993 GT2 had the bolt on flared arches.

To me that looks like a 993RS with an RSR rear wing.

You'd need a poloshirt/chino wearer to say for sure however.

That's not a 930 front bumper, it looks like an RSR copy or something. It's just a tarted up, but bloody awful looking, early Targa.

I still maintain that it's not a turbo, it just doesn't look quite right.

A half arsed one, but yeah I'd agree.
