Just got back from having mine done.
It also sailed through
Although one of the seat bolts caught on the ramp so I couldn't even get on for the test to start and one of the testers had to lift the rear arch to get me up.
Mind you, I'm glad I stayed with it. They couldn't open the boot, or the bonnet, or work out how to turn on the lights. So I got in to do all the switching etc for them and comically it went like this
Sidelights Ian - sidelights on - "OK !"
Headlights Ian - headlights on - gets measuring thingy out - "They're fine"
Main Beam Ian - mainbeam on - "nothing, did you turn them on?"
"oh hell, I had a wire come off one of those last week Paul, let me have a look"
[gets out of car and walks to the front to find everything is working and high beam lights are blazing away as they should be]
"they're high beam Paul" says I pointing down
"what?!, well I've MOTd other TVRs and never seen anything like that. Did you add them then"
"er no mate, they are original. I can show you it on the net if you like"
"na, its alright, but how the hell do they do anything being down there?"
"they don't Paul, they're absolutely crap!"
Paul nodded sagely.
It was also a lot of fun being in the car when it went up on the ramp, and listening to them trying to work out how to get the crossbeam jack out of the way so I could drive the car off the ramp onto the rolling road brake test unit.
And with a combination of gearbox stand and ramp going up and down they managed to get it under the car and out of the back!
