MY 3.2 has got a ticking or blowing noise on tickover,when it is being driven you cant hear it, ie when the revs are up a bit.The exhaust box is new and i cant see any holes etc ,so any other suggestions.

You seem to be happy it is not the exhaust,,,this may sound silly and is not a joke,,but ticking or other silly noises are often caused by a worn or old altrnator drive belt....change this if it was not done at the last service and see if it helps.....
could be a badly adjusted manual tappet on a 3.2 that you cannot hear when revs are up as there is so much noise from elsewhere.

Could you have had two exhaust issues, the louder one has been taken care of with your new exhaust box. Manifolds often tick when they are blowing slightly.
