A few American series ending recently...
Discussion
It struck me that a few American tv series have ended recently, all around the same time; CSI, 24, OneTreeHill, GossipGirl,Lost,Pacific.
Are there a whole wave of new series waiting on the sidelines raring to go, or will we feel empty until Dexter comes at the end of the summer?
And, for the record, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl are for my girlfriend - I just download them for her

It is because in the US they have two fixed 'seasons' for these programmes over the year. This is why they often have 24 or thereabouts episodes, to fit into a season 'gap'. (Or alternatively a run of 10 to fit into the first or second half of a season.) The other weeks are a gap or for breaks over Xmas etc.
