Started watching it a week ago whilst waiting for the new stargate universe and I just cant stop watching it, have managed 16 episodes of the first series and its just getting better and better.... bit like X-Files but no aliens and more biological...

The scientist is cool and the lead star Anna Torv is lush...

What do you guys think?

I really like it. The story's getting better and better as well as they're finding their way with it. There's a corking 'underlying' story running through the episodes that's becoming clearer as things move along.

Not a fan of Anna Torv in this, she looks like a 11 year old boy and sounds like a bull dyke. Outside of Fringe she is much more presentable.

Walter makes this show, hes the perfect blend of lovable old man and evil genius out of a B Movie.

I find the show only works if you don't take it seriously. I do worry about its story structure, its another Lost in that its very hard to get into if you haven't watched it from the start as there is one long running story that dominates everything, meaning that it'll have a dedicated core of fans but will find it hard to attract new fans, thus end up being cancelled.

There's speculation Torv only got the role because of who her aunt is..

Anna Torv looks a lot better towards the end of season 2 with the dark hair ..... but not wanting to spoil anything, how the feck was that switch done right at the end of season 2? I'll have to watch it again.

Walter is excellent, especially with the Walternate character - in fact that whole alternate universe brings all the characters a lot of interesting developments.

Good that its coming back for a third season.

The phosporous grenade. Plus she calls him 'Dr Bishop' rather than 'Walter' as she rouses him. Knew something wasn't 'right' from that point onward..!

Excellent series. Season 2 is much better as there are less filler episodes and the story really moves along. Walter is brilliant, wouldn't be the show it is without him.

Have I missed an episode on Sky1 or have I fallen victim to torrent downloaders discussing episodes before they are broadcast again?

(please excuse if I mention any spoilers)

Okay, so you're peeking into a parallel dimension to try to find a cure for your sons disease, as your counterparts son has the same illness. Your son dies. So instead of just saying "oh well, lets grieve for a bit", you decided to jump over to the other dimension, grab your counterparts son, bring him back as "your own", cure him, etc.

That action in itself is whats caused all the crap - the suicide of his wife, and ultimately caused walternate to turn into the viscious vindictive bd that he is ...

Fantastic if you like it, like football, personally I can't stand it, but some "apparantly" do.

Each to their own, may Fringe continue, and SGU as well.

As a father you can see why he was compelled to do that. Also didn't 'Walter-nate' miss he had actually created the cure when the Observer knocked on the door. So Walter was powerless to ignore that and wanted to point out he had done it. For that reason to he went back to cure/take Peter.

Only two more episodes to go this season.
