Tyre recommendations?

I'm fitting 18" spiders to my Chimaera and wondered if someone could recommend a tyre. I want it grippy and also safe in the wet so it rules out 888's and the like. Oh, and reasonable cost of course. Anyone?

As an all round road tyre - both myself and Gazzab are happy with Goodyear Eagle F1's (and people seem to recommend the asymetric ones)

People are happy with TR1s and GY F1 asymmtrics. I have the later on the back of my car and I can say they are great if you are patient because I found them st until 1000mls and then great. On a lightwieght car they last so don't believe the reviews.

You will not be wrong whichever tyre you choose between these two.
