Pretty shocking Lamborghini crash at the Super Trofeo with LP560 racers.

Over the past few days Lamborghini is not getting any good news, Murcie recall due to risk of fire then this.

Thats horrific, the car just disintegrates.

It seems the chap lived which is great - a testament to the cars strenght.

As people have said, that's pretty horrifying.

A video showing just how long it took to get the driver out (not that I know how long it should take to get him out, said from the point of view of being in a burning car that long).

Absolutely dreadful. But I would say the opposite. Not a credit to the cars strength, it disintegrated and became a fireball immediatley. Glad I race 911's.

Is that constructed the same way as the road cars? Without the roll cage in it that car would have destroyed itself even more, not a testament to integral strength at all.

Thats absolutely disgracefull.

Clearly none of the fire marshalls have had any training, they a massive fine for that, then sueing for gross neglegence.

Disgusting.

Blame the extinguisher regulations - apart from accidents such as this there's been many cars lost to fire because of the change in extiguisher contents and you might as well piss on it.....

Thank F*ck for Nomex. Friend had one very like this in a vintage Porsche...now his race suit has racing flames to commemorate getting out alive.

Far too reminiscent of Tetsuya Ota's crash at Fuji for my liking frown The harnesses look to have failed too, judging by the way he was hanging out of the car as it spun away from its initial impact point.

Shocking and a damning indictment of the cars construction and combustability. I saw a Boxter on fire on the side of the A1 northbound a few weeks ago and it seemed the Fire Fighters were just letting it burn out. The flames were 30ft high and too hard to put out maybe.
