Radiator leaking

Hello guys. My rad is leaking, not sure from where yet, pretty sure it is the core.

Should I recon or go new? I remember someone previously posting about a company in gloucester who do a decent re-core job. Anyone remember who?

While I'm at it anyone know if its definitely a VW scirroco expansion tank and cap?

I've used them for a bespoke alloy rad for a 1932 vintage car - to replace the 20kg one that it came with! They did a lovely job on that, though I don't know if they will recore anything other than alloy radiators. Any local radiator specialist should do that though, they're nothing very clever (the rads - not the people who repair them)!

I had my radiator recored and sofar so good (7 months later), dan at taylor tvr sorted it though so unable to tell you where the recore was done.

Iain, I have a re-cored rad in mine mate and it works a treat ! Pretty much any rad repairers will be able to sort this for you and I wouldn't worry about it al all mate. Google it for someone locally to you - there is probably someone closer than you think that can do the work. As for the expansion tank and cap, I'm unsure on that one. What I do know is that it has VW stamped on it. Is it not in the Equivalent Parts Thread?

just as another option, I got an alloy one from Race Proved. It looks fantastic and is really nice quality. The welding etc is the DBs.

Raceproved? Think they use Racetech rads?

Had mine done here after Alans. They put in all new cores, fins etc for £150
