warning code 22 - power supply

getting the above code intermittently on my display today (more on than off)

it started exactly the same time I had a bumped over a pothole.

everything seems to be working OK

Driven 100 miles home since (cant decide if I am brave or stupid or both)

voltage is flashing between 7 and 12 volts.

I have put the battrery on charge this evening but it isn't drawing much current and certainly does not appear too run down

any ideas what it means / is wrong

Check battery for loose connections and 100 amp fuse.

Yup, sounds like the 100amp fuse as stated above. Just to add though, when you check the fuse, do a very thorough physical check as well as using a Fluke. I got caught out with a hairline crack in the fuse that didn't show up with the Fluke and it drove me nuts trying to figure it out!

Ok it is definatley not the 100 amp fuse has it off testes + inspected.

Also the altenator is working fine and charging the battery.

everything appears to be working, just this constant error message

Could be wrong but I think there are 2 of the 100 amp fuses, one under the air box and one in passenger footwell.

You're not wrong! Most people upgrade the 100 amp fuse under the air box for a 125 amp fuse. Mr C

found the second fuse it is OK as well. (it is in the battery compartment on my Mk2) voltage at battery reads 13.5 once engine running

checked all the fuses / relays for bad connections,

everything seems to be working

getting frustrated now

If it only happens when there are vibrations and the charging circuits are OK, sounds like a bad connection between battery and dash, tapping of relays and waggling of wires whilst someone watches the display would seem to be your best approach.

If the display itself remains on it says that the voltage must be higher than 7V wahtever the display is telling you. I gues the question is how the display senses the voltage.
