Here's a few quick snaps of the Mex. There's a few things still to do this week before the shows start over here in Ireland. The plans are, Superlights, Cibies, full Janspeed exhaust and '40 Webers. Extremely hard to find a genuine one of these over here, at a price that you don't have to remortgage the house for...

Thanks everyone biggrin

We're made up with it. Should hopefully have the wheels before the end of the week, I'm not overly keen on the steelies. It's some difference jumping out of the Evo to a '78, 4 speed Escort, especially on the motorway hehe

I must get a few pics of the interior and engine bay, totally slipped my mind to be honest.

Make sure you have a lot of security around it - knickable doesn't do them justice. Lovely thing.

Lovely car !! Nice to see 1 in original condition. Prices over are crazy for replicas even, your car will be worth alot. Keep it and enjoy.

I'm with the leave it standard thing except this car needs superlights! The definitive wheel choice for a 70's escort.

Thanks everyone thumbup

I just can't leave it standard, I don't know why!

If it was still a 1600cc I'd consider it, but it was converted to 2 litre many years ago, I'm told it was a popular conversion at the time, just a straight swap from the Rs2000.

If there's ever a genuine Mexco engine available it will probably be bought and put in storage.
