I recently had the engine of my 1980 930 rebuilt following a plethora of broken head studs.

During the rebuild the clutch plate was changed since the old one was worn down to the rivets.

Since getting the car home the clutch has been slipping in 3rd and 4th and I can temporarily cure it by adjusting the release lever. The cable seems a little bit long to get the correct adjustment (0.5mm at lever with clutch pedal level with brake) - is this the reason I can't get the clutch clamping reliably? The car was fixed in Bristol and I live in Epping so it's difficult to take the car back to get the adjustment done. Does anyone have any more advice on how to cure this clutch problem?

Secondly the boost gauge is not working - it goes to full-scale-deflection as soon as the ignition is switched on and stays there. Before I whip the intercooler off and have poke about is this likely to be a dodgy sender or is there a short somewhere?

Finally the gear lever is very 'floppy', this appears to be due to some wear in the gear lever tower. Is this a common problem and what's the best fix?

All help appreciated, I do listen (ask Iguana )
