Just read a tyre question on here, and rather than hijack the thread bla bla...

Anyway i have a bridgestone rear tyre that i bought in an emergency when i had a flat tyre about a month ago.

Anyway whilst cleaning the car over the weekend i noticed the tyre wall clearly has "Inside" written on the outside of the tyre!

It is on the rear drivers side (offside?) of the car, i will try and get a pic of the exact tyre but i was wondering if its anything drastic? Surely they wouldn't put it on there if it wasn't for a reason..

Anyone?

It'd wear quickly and handling would certainly be compromised when pushing, especially in the wet.

The tyre place cocked up basically

Ah, well the handling doesn't appear to be different but i'll get it swapped about then!

It was a part worn however, only cost me a fiver for a near mint bridgestone!

Get it swapped. Tyres with "inside" and "outside" can have different construction on each shoulder to deal with the differing loads. I'm sure your insurance would also have something to say if it caused an accident.
