Car Bluetooth Music Receivers...
Discussion
Afternoon all,
I have been chasing a technical issue for a while now and am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem.
I have a 3.5mm aux jack in my cars stereo system (in the glove box) and am trying to wirelessly play music from my iphone through it. I found a bluetooth music receiver with 3.5mm jack which seemed perfect but it requires a standard DC plug for power.
Does anyone know of a commercial bluetooth receiver which might work - perhaps with rechargable batteries or the like that would fit the bill? I am currently using a male - male jack but it hangs down across the passenger seat and restricts use.
Many Thanks for any help!
Best Regards

The newer Parrot BT handsfree kits do music over Bluetooth.
Ahh yes, the Parrot PMK5800? That uses the FM transmitter to make the link though? And my experience is that FM modulators are never that great in terms of quality of music - a shame through a system with BOSE speakers. I would also have to be on radio to use it rather than CD etc. Many thanks for the option though and I will try and see an example working!
Best Regards

God no. I meant PROPER Parrot handsfree kits, like the MKi9200 and 3200LS. Not those stupid plug-in things.
The proper ones plug in to the stereo loom and the phone calls/music come out your car stereo's speakers using the kit's own built in amp (which on some cars is more powerful than the OE headunit's own).
I ran the 3200LS in conjunction with the CDC70 Satnav stereo in my Astra, worked a treat.

I have the answer - Kensington LiquidAUX Bluetooth Car Kit
Works very well - plugs into the AUX socket and connects to my iPhone via A2DP Bluetooth, allowing for music streaming, calls and sat nav voice instructions. It gets its power from the 12v outlet and has a USB socket for charging your phone. Also comes with a wireless remote that can be attached to the steering wheel or stuck to dash.
Excellent piece of kit and only costs £20 or so from eBay
