Steering rack

Anybody know if you can buy new seals for the steering rack. Mine is leaking ps fluid from where the spline comes out where the column joint fits on, if that makes sense.

The rack is exclusive to TVR , I had a similar problem towards the end of last year , the rack new is £750 +VAT , I stripped mine out myself and had it rebuilt totally with new seals/gaitors etc and tested for £140 +VAT , look at Yellow Pages under steering racks and speak to some local suppliers , see if they can help , it's best to recondition them as on the top of the rack next to the oval plate there is a release valve , if the problem gets too serious it will eject all the fluid out of the rack rendering the car undriveable , also making a mess of your drive !!

...or if it's a slight leak, leave it alone and live with the fact that, when you do your weekly fluid checks, you'll have to pour in a few ccs of ATF and buy a new tube of the stuff once every three months or so. Still cheaper than a new or even a recon rack...
