Going to be trying to replace my alternator tonight, but as a novice mechanic I'm a little nervous and wondered if anyone could let me know exactly what I need to remove to get access to the alternator.

It looks like it's mainly just the air hoses from the air filter to the throttle body and a couple of other hoses around the throttle body itself - does the throttle body need to come off?

I wouldnt have thought the throttle body needs to come off. Are you looking from the top? From what i can visualize in my head without actually going outside to check - it would be much easier to undo the undertray and go up from underneath - its all pretty accessible.

Yeah i wouldnt have thought you would need to take anything off. Its on the left so just unbolt it and pull it forward and up or drop it on the floor.
Their is loads of space between the rad and the engine to get the new one in.

Or am i missing something.

From underneath perhaps there is plenty of room without taking anything off, but from above there are hoses in the way - unless I'm missing something smile

IIRC from the top all you need to remove is the crossover pipe.
