Can anyone help?
About 5 years ago I was in the US and saw the most beautiful Tag watch in a jewellers. Unfortunately I was brassic at the time so could not buy it. Now, times are better so I want to locate one but I cannot for the life of me find it.

The design was ultra simple. Steel body/bracelet with a round deep blue dial. Nothing fancy around the dial body. (ie, no rings to click around etc) and the face itself had no numbers or date, just the little Tag emblem.
Any ideas what it was called? where can I find one? I've been scouring the second hand watch vendors on line with no luck, and I cannot find it in the Tag catalogue

Cheers

Sounds like a Kirium, though it has a bezel, it's pretty discreet. I'm not sure they're still making them, but I remember thinking they looked seriously cool when they first came out.

Or as mentioned, there was a cool ladies watch called the Alter Ego, which was sadly a very obvious girls watch.

What kind of size was it?

Maybe look on ebay or http://pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=576.

THanks guys. It was a big watch, (42mm? ) in the mans section so I don't think it was a ladies timepiece. I'll check out the links supplied and see what I can see.

Some other possibilities, though neither quite match your description:

Link Auto

Carrera

Something like this maybe:

Sorry about the pretty poor picture! I know it's got a date, but seems to fit the description.
The other option could be a Carrera as posted above. I'm not sure how many variations there were though.

I certainly think the Link style is what it most resembles. But the dial was a deep single colour blue, and with no characters or 5 minute bars at all, just the Tag logo.
In my searches I've found the Calibre S model, which, although very different to what I was looking for, also appeals to me. Does anyone have any thoughts on these?

I have one of these Alter Ego watches from Tag. No idea if there's a mens version. Is this more what you were looking at?

They've stopped making them now and like you I wanted the blue face. It was a bit tricky to track down! smile

yes, so I have found. But the watch I saw was definately a mans watch. Must have been a different one then.
Thanks anyway
