Hello everyone!
I thought I'd be polite and introduce myself. My name's Simon, but my friends call me Si or Searley.
I've been a petrol head since I was a kid, I used to race radio controlled cars (and was pretty damn good at it too) in my early teens, anyone remember the Tamiya Boomerang? I passed my car test at 17 and my bike test a few years later at 21.
I haven't been blessed with great financial acumen, so I haven't been able to own any of the cars I lust after, you know, 430 scuderia, 911 GT3, Mac F1 etc...
Anyway...... I've owned many cars over the years, from a shockingly bad Astra SRi (MK2) to a reasonably good fun Nissan 200sx (S14a). I'm a total bike junkie though and love pretty much all types, from superbikes to naked/streetfighters to american choppers, hell I even like push bikes (yes the ones you pedal). I currently own a sensible Toyota Carina as my daily commute and a GSXR 750 srad as my fun machine
I love trackdays, have done tons on bikes, but not many in cars. My favourite UK circuit is Cadwell Park and I'm hoping to finally get to the Nordschleife later this year. I enjoy all the usual car/bike shows, breakfast runs and general road driving/riding as well. Sometimes you don't need an excuse, just get up, grab your keys and go
Look forward to chatting with you guys soon...
