Hi

Recently swapped my 525 msport auto for a 54 plate 330cd Msport - Manual....great car with plenty of poke and perfect for my needs at the moment - however, it has an annoying clunking/knocking sound when you change gear.

Sounds just like something heavy falls over in the boot (have checked...boots empty!)

When you change gear really slowly, it doesnt do it but does in normal driving.

I've seen a few things on tinterweb that its a common thing....is this something I shoudl be concerned about?

Has full BMWSH and due a service in about 1000 miles so could get them to have a look at it.

Any thoughts?

Sounds drive shaft related. Possibly a torn guibo/doughnut CV joint. Just had mine replaced at it was torn but I must have caught mine in time not to make noises.
