I'll Be racing at Snetterton on Sunday in the TVR challengeI
Discussion
Got back from a great days racing.
Cars running very well never took the bonnet (one piece front end) off once.
Just fill with petrol and run.
Have some very good scraps, plus gained 7 seconds from best Q lap, and fastest lap on 2nd race.
Finished both races 3rd in class, was 2nd in class in the 2nd race, for 5 laps but could not hold onto it, but not too bad seeing as everyone else in my class is running 4.5 or 5ltr griff's and Race Tuscans.
Thanks to those that found me and said hi, would have liked to chatted more, but time was quite tight.

Well done Leigh...great day out, and an interesting 400 mile round trip on some excellent Lincolnshire and Norfolk roads.
My first time at Snetterton, and it was great to see you all flat out down the back straight.
I made one or two little vids, so hope to get them posted up soon.
Wow did not know you came that far, be cool to see the vid'sMy first time at Snetterton, and it was great to see you all flat out down the back straight.

You can get some serious speed though down that back stright, gives the brakes a good test.

There were one or two Wedges in the car park.
Just as I was approaching a very nice white 'c' reg. 350i and struggling to extricate my camera, he drove away.
Also a sort of bronze coloured 350. Anyone from the forum ?
I must say that the guys who race the Wedges really are a friendly bunch, and so good-humoured.
I'm sure they'd appreciate extra support from fellow owners, and in the case of a certain Cossy 24 valve FHC owner....a spare trailing arm bush to replace the totally knackered one that he'd been hurtling around on a few minutes before.
What these guys manage to cobble together (often with spares borrowed from competitors) inbetween races can be truly amazing. He was back out racing an hour later.
Another Wedger I met, who I hadn't seen for a long time was 'chassis33'
(Iain) + new SWMBO. He still has his Wedge, but has apparently put an unmentionable 3 litre V6 in it now.
