Hi guys,

Following a recent accident and having my beloved M3 written off, i am now the proud owner of a second E46 m3! biggrin

The car threw a CEL the other day which i identified to be the ignition coil 1. I changed the coil and the car drives fine but the engine light is still present?? Is there any way to remove the CEL or do i just have to remove the battery for a few moments?

Any ideas?

Thanks

You need a code reading tool. Ie a PEAKE, GT1 etc

Resetting the battery will do nothing.

I replaced a coil pack on mine too, and ignored the engine light for a little while (about a week) and it turned itself off, and hasn't returned.
