Hi all,
Just got myself my first Noble M12 GTO after selling my RS spec Porsche 964.
I got the car from Motoring Legends (no doubt someone here saw it for sale) & am wondering about a couple of things.
1) The engine was rebuilt by Noble Motorsport in 2004, with forged pistons, rebore, polished crack, recon heads & remanufactured turbos, appartently producing 375BHP.
Any opinions on Noble Motorsports work??

2)The same company did a full service early last year, but the car has only travelled 2500miles since.
Should I get a minor service done?

Hope to meet some of you soon.
Cheers
Jay

Hi welcome to the club :-) might be worth changing the oil and filter also check breather system they tend to get clogged up on low usage cars

Hello wavey

Noble Motorsport have done a lot of work on the engine over the years so should be well built.

I'm In Swindon, Wiltshire
Thanks for the comment about Noble Motorsport, i think i'll continue to use them for servicing (& enjoy the drive from Swindon to Derby, along the Fosse way).
I'll keep an eye out for any reasonably local meets etc.

I'm gonna use the car for a couple of trackdays, any advice on tyre pressures etc? it's on P Zero's

Cheers all

Hi Jay, im also in Swindon. We will have to go for a blast around the magic roundabout someday biggrin

Out of interest, are you the fella i met at Combe a while back? He also had a 964 RS and was from Swindon. I was in the Orange Noble.

Personally I wouldn’t bother with the journey up to JNM, my car has not run right since they serviced it in January.

Following the service the car wouldn’t tick over without stalling. I took it back to them and they had the car for 6 weeks to fix the problem, charged £600 and today the problem has reoccurred!
They also charged an hours labour to fit a replacement horn for the MOT, I think my wife could have done the job in less than 15 minutes!

Obviously this is only my experience, but don’t think I will be using them again.

Anyway, welcome and enjoy the car

Hey, DeanoM12, yep, thats me, i recall the time I saw you at Combe (think it was a Porsche Club trackday) & one of your turbos expired!!
I gather your car is running 400bhp now??

Bizarro, i'm a little apprehensive about your experience at JNM, i can't tolerate poor service (especially when I'm paying!), so i might have to reconsider finding somewhere more local.

I've got a trackday at Silverstone on Tuesday with EVO magazine, so if anyone can give me tyre pressures, i'd be very grateful.
Cheers
