Question for 3.6 owners
Discussion
TVR have been known to do strange things with engines - sometimes it was just whatever was available - for example I've been told that some early 4.3 Griffiths had big valve heads fitted because they were the only ones to hand. As long as they didn't undersell anyone there's no problem.

I know this is not to do with the engine but my V5 document states that I have a Tuscan S and not the standard 4 ltr Tuscan that I have, I phoned the DVLA and they say they dont have a 4ltr standard Tuscan on their records but only the 3.6ltr.

My 01 Red Rose, has Tuscan S on it's V5.

I ordered a 3.6l at about the same time as TVR announced that all future ones would be 3.6 not 4.0. When my V5 arrived it said 3996cc - I queried with the dealers who queried with TVR. All said it was a 3.6l but DVLA don't recognise it (at that time). Was going to query it further but over time just decided to leave it.
The general message seems to be that unless it says 1.6l it's just one of those things that happens and you shouldn't lose any sleep over it.
