Just had the Cerbie decatted...

It already had a very noisy sports exhaust but sometimes you just can't get enough of a good thing. The main noise increase is under acceleration and at cruising speed it's not too obtrusive (and it still pops and bangs like a bugger!

As the dealer said it's now loud with a capital LOUD!

It has improved the throttle response quite a bit, it now revs almost as readily as my old Tuscans.

It's even more lovely than before!

Cheers

Nice one DC, I had mine done last week as part of a bigger job, the car does feel very very responsive, I am almost having to learn to drive it again. One thing that you may be able to keep an eye on for me, or any of you other decatters might know, does the fuel consumption increase with a decat? Mine seems to have risen quite a bit, to the point i had a nightmare about it last night!!

Bit odd that, I drove from Worcestershire to Rutland and thought I'd done better than normal. Mind you the loud pedal wasn't turned up to 11 (it was a bit wet!)

Neighbours hated it before - but hell, I'm an HR manager, I'm used to being unpopular.

Besides I don't complain when they go bell ringing in the church behind us at 10.30 at night!

I know what you feel like, Ive got the same problem. Got an anonymous letter the other morning..."Could you please not leave your noisy car running in the morning...it wakes us up"

I thought .....mmm wish they thought it was a gentle alarm clock instead

Not noticed an increase in fuel consumption since my de-cat.

Definitely more responsive but I think this is more a result of the fuelling, throttle pot settings being checked after the de-cat than any noticeable difference once the cats were removed.
