Green lanes map for the South East?

tbh mate there rally arent many, best bead is to head up towards wantage/grove way, where there are a few which are pretty good fun, or could just try the ridgeway?

Thanks, that's interesting. I'm from a county where there are plenty and I suspected that the SE was a bit void of them but I wasn't sure. Wantage isn't to far but it would be good to see what is around here, I'll Google (haven't done that yet)..

There are some if you know where to look seemingly, this is from a landy site and I've now got 2 TomTom POI itns with a fair few green laning locations:

Tons around the area! Alton and Basingstoke along has 10 lanes I know of. Go on www.fourwheeldriveclub.com we have a green lane day on 5th June, all around the area. Good friendly bunch. www.trailwise.org, shows you the byways, and current TRO state, becareful to check on Hants CC web site, going on a closed lane is a big no no.

Thanks usfeul info and great to know. There are a few challenges to getting along to meets i.e. no vehicle and sprog duties, but, I've always nutured a need to go off road once or twice a month and it's brilliant to know I could do it locally

Just need to make a fortune + quit work + get a nanny + buy my wife some nice presents and hey presto, I can be out at least twice monthly!

1st Wednesday Club coming up soon for anyone else pining to 'retire' and get adventurous monthly (especially during the working day..)

Duno but also got use of a 500hp Unimog that would be fun on the greens, however the 4x4 can hold it's own aganst some of the others it's down to the driver mate.

NOT on Green Lanes!!!! That's largely what gets us kicked off them in the first place! Plenty of fun to be had on pay and play sites doing that though.

On a green lane you'd take a 500 bhp unimog?


and then you go on to advocate "take no prisoners and use the power under the go pedal" as a manner in which to drive on the green lanes.

You need to get off the green lanes and take out your anger out on an proper off road course.

The rest of us dont want the lanes shut due to your ripping up of the lanes.

And the solo bikes wont be thanking you for leaving us with lanes with two trenches in them for their entire length.

Sorry mate but you seem to embody everything which the nimbys use against the responsible green laners as ammo to get the lanes shut. I sure you are a top bloke but be careful what you do and say on this scarce resource.

I'm getting into trails from motocross for something a bit calmer and to enjoy some of the areas around me.

I stumbled on this topic whilst reading up on areas local to me for legal trails.

I wonder if, Hewlett, might you be able to share via google you're compilation of legal trails?

I'm going to build a website for locating trails and for aiding in creating an unbias view of trails riders to the general public. We respect them, they (hopefully) respect us.
