Most of that turned up today, no Sea King today or Twister Team. The Swordfish was replaced with the Sea Hawk, a nice addition that was too. The Vampire was also a nice addition filling in for one of the no shows.
I went to the airport yesterday and to the Sea Front today.
Some of my photographic attempts here:

It was good to see some of the more unusual aircraft flying. We were anchored off the centre of the display line so had some routines passing directly overhead.
The Sea King didn't display, but on the saturday evening while we were sailing round, it overflew us a few times then called us on the VHF to ask if he could land a man on deck as part of their training. We headed up into the wind and they lowered a chap down. It was incredibly noisy, but the rotor downwash had much less effect on the boat than I was expecting especially since we were under sail. He was aboard for 10 minutes while we repositioned to get a little more water, and then they picked him up. A pretty interesting experience, and we now know what to expect should we ever need to do it for real. A Sea King hovering 30 feet above looks pretty massive.

Can you all f off and not come the what must be the worst "airshow" in the universe. We have enough chavvy muppets in this part of Essex without all the mongtastic muppets that rock up to the town on this illustrious weekend.
Didn't go so I can't be a "chavvy muppet".To be honest, I prefer airshows that are held on an actual airfield/airbase as opposed to seaside type shows.
I try and avoid Southend, went down there last weekend for a gig, on a Saturday night. Not the nicest of places I've been
I avoided the masses and sat on the top of the cliffs, to get better top shot photos on Monday
Thanks for the comment on the pics 911.
