Mobile Internet & Roaming advice sought
Discussion
Ok a question to the PH encyclopedia of gadgetry knowledge
Has anyone any of experience of mobile internet usage whilst roaming around Europe.
Currently I'm using (but only when I have to) a mobile & infra red at the wait for ever speeds. It costs a fortune to dial back to the UK & one big email can bung up the whole system.
Any suggestions welcome!!! maybe a pda type thing with GPS too might be usefull too.

Well it'll get moved soon I'm sure
I have had no problems using GPRS in Austria, Spain and France (on a train!) via my Vodafone 8910i and Bluetooth USB dongle. Only got about 3KB/s max but for doing SSH and basic web stuff it's OK.
It costs though! £15/MB or similar IIRC.. definitely check with your mobile company that the country you are going to supports it and check which network is the lowest rate..
