Waiting for a particular plate in the '11-series' to be released in December which almost spells the son's name. Being a South Asian name may or may not be a popular one.

Any tips on how to be 'first in' ? From what I understand the internet and phones open at 0830 but will they all be blocked by the companies?

Any tips on the best way to secure my plate?

Ensure your phone has a quick redial. If it hasn't already been taken off general sale by the DVLA then it's unlikely to be "popular" as far as they are concerned. Normally they take these off the website and reserve them for a future auction. At least that's what they did for a prefix number plate I was looking for!!

Phone redial? You guys are aware you buy them online now.......

No tips. As you can buy them online you just have to be in before someone else. Luck I suppose.
