BCA Blackbushe
Discussion
Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone is going to the BCA Blackbushe auction on the 5th of June. The reason i'm asking is its not everyday you get a Bugatti Veyron up for auction, also a brace of Ferrari f430's, 2 X DB9'S plus a vanquish, not your average auction i think you'll agree

The Veyron's VAT qualifying suggesting it was owned by a VAT registered company. Both Ferrari's arent and have private plates suggesting private ownership, poss finance repos.
There's also a white 07 plate impreza STi that i remember seeing at BCA bedford from Blackhorse motor finance a few weeks back, so it seems that BCA has worked with the finance companies to run a dedicated saturday auction, possibly in the hope that private punters would turn up with their own cash. Just beware of BCA's steep buyers premiums for non account holders if you take the plunge. Not sure of the premium on the Veyron.......

It's a lease company/Contract hire company disposing of them. There's an ad in the current issue of Evo for the sale.Lex and Blackhorse are the logos on the advert in the magazine.

I'm told the Veyron isn't being delivered until Friday afternoon and kept locked out of sight overnight.
Presumably they will let it out enough in advance to place the obligatory styrofoam cup on the rear spoiler, abandoned catalogue on the windscreen wipers and the half eaten hot dog on the roof before it goes through the ring.

And, of course, the most important thing to check on such a car is to open the boot and look for the spare wheel (wherever the hell that is on a Veryon)...The other questions are whether it will have more than the regulation auction 0.0005 litres of fuel in it to make it through and whether they'll park it outside the cafe afterwards sandwiched between two Carcraft R-reg 528i's covered in chip wrappers.

Apparently there's some law limiting the amount of fuel allowed in cars moved by transporter. It's enough for a car delivered to a retailer but often not enough for a car that gets moved 5 or 6 times around the site, or several times that if it doesn't sell at first. The same reason so many need jump starts.
