The TVR has so much more rarity, performance, desirability, blah, blah. It honestly baffles me.

Aye, must be the 'X-Factor'
Mind you, the big money examples have had big money spent on them by the looks, so by that token, a perfect, restored Wedge in ten years time will command the equivalent maybe.
I would think so and as you say the nicer TR6's will have had many 1000's spent on them so a 10,000 price tag is probably still a loss maker

I drove one or two when they were quite new, and nothing special IMO.
The earlier TR5 was a much nicer looking car, and later ones had the PI engine with that HUGE 150bhp, then down to 125bhp o the later TR6s

TVR were always way ahead of the mass-produced opposition...looks, performance and handling.

It's just a 'what's in vogue' thing. Any of our Tivs would leave a standard TR6 for dead on the road, and in fact I don't think I've witnessed ANY Triumph exceeding the speed limit o the road for at least 20 years.

Got it now. I should keep hold of mine for my retirement, (about 17 years if I'm lucky enough to dodge redundancy) & spend that time getting it perfect.
