Cebera 4.2 daily driver

Hi all,

I used to have a 350i a few years ago and am considering a 4.2 Cerbie, or maybe a Chim. It will be my daily driver, be kept on my driver under an expensive cover with a commute of 15 miles a day. Recommendations / warnings / advice welcome!

Personally I think you are mad. But go for it.
Will the cover wreck the paint? (unless the wind never blows, you secure it tightly and the car is washed and dried before covering).

I did this for nearly two years in the cerb, even down to the car cover on the drive (tie it up tight!) enjoyed every single commute
Just make sure you keep on top of servicing and do your own regular maintenance. As long as you arent scared of a spanner it will be fine.......

I'm with Onzlouk here. I used mine every day, loved every minute of it. You do need to get a good one first though. Miss my Cerb

...is 15 mile long enough to get the AJP up to temp...especially in the winter? Not as critical with the Chim..?

Must admit part of the pleasure owning a TVR for me has been that it is a treat when the weather and mood take me....I think if it was my only means of transport there would be things that would annoy me...some of the things might even be the things that make me smile now! Eg, the noise...OK starting it up on the odd early morning...but every day..? (mines a 4.2 Cerb decatted with sports exhaust!)

I like my car tucked up in the garage ready for blast at any moment!

Each to their own I guess...if this is your only way into a Cerb or Chim however, go for it!

General observation - within reason, the more you drive them the better they are
