Out of the following:-
2003 t350c - Red Bull Blue 35k miles engine rebuild at 25k miles by Power
Red Interior in good condition. Full service history by reputable dealer - £21k
Or
2005 t350c - British Racing Green (copper green) 35k miles no engine rebuild. Cream seats with green dash. Full service hisory by same reputable dealer - £21k

would go for the one thats been rebuilt myself plus everyone knows blue cars are faster 
I'll be at str8 on Friday so will have a look, the blue one sounds better but you never really know until you see them?
One observation though, I know you have been asking lots and lots of questions and I understand you are being ultra careful about buying one, if this is your nature make sure you get one that your 100% sure about in every way otherwise I'm sure it will play on your mind and you will never be totally sure you did the right thing?

Yeah have a look and let me know what you think of both.
I think the blue one is in better condition even though it is a bit older but to be fair to Jason he did tell me he was still working on the green one which was why there was bits missing and stuff.
I just felt the interior of the blue one looked really nice, blue is my favourite colour.
As for being cautious and asking lots of questions, I just wanted to know the whole picture for myself, knowledge is power and all that.
Have heard loads of good things about str8six so would feel comfortable buying off them. Would prefer to pay a little more than from a private seller for this security.
If Jason can get back to me with a good offer for my car and a good price for his car then I think I'll go for it. Must admit the thought of test driving it scares me a little, but suppose that's the whole point if these cars, the drama, thrill and excitment of them!

Dont be too scared about the test drive.. Provided you are sensible you will be fine.. They have a really long throttle so you have to try quite hard to make them really fly.. Ive followed your threads for a while now and you have really done your homework.. Just be prepared to be completely smitten once you drive one.. The noise, the acceleration , the sense of occasion... Anyone with an ounce of petrolheadedness in their veins cant help but fall in love at 1st drive.. If its a good one of course.

Agreed, they are pussy cats and you really have to provoke them to make them roar. The steering will feel pretty direct so don't sneeze until you're used to it. The clutch is light, the gearchange is firm but easy (even better when warm). You may find the brakes feel a bit dead - this is because TVR does not over servo the feel. The car will slow in line with the amount of power you apply to the brake pedal. Just push a bit harder than you may be used to. The benefit of this is that you can modulate hard braking much better and you can feel you're reaching the point of lockup.
Based on the thoroughness of STR8-SIXs servicing, I would feel confident that any car they sell will be of a high standard - worth paying a bit more for as you say.
I also agree with Targaramas comments re: testdrives. I'd just add that if you're coming from a turbo car then they might not feel quite as fast as you may be expecting. The gears are quite tall and you have to rev them quite high to really get the acceleration that the numbers on paper suggest they can do. I came to my TVR from an Impreza (320bhp) and in 4th or 5th gear 50-60mph or so, the Impreza felt noticeably quicker.
The best thing about TVR to my mind is their rawness - you can feel so much of what going on as you drive along. This is great on an empty open road, not so good in a queue of traffic or more built up areas!

I bought a T350C from str8six back in November last year and would thoroughly recommend the experience. These guys know the cars inside and out and offered a six month warranty on the car. They spent nearly a month preparing the car and fixing anything they thought might cause concerns before I took delivery. I returned the car a couple of times with minor niggles and there was never less than a complete commitment to customer satisfaction.I also agree with Targaramas comments re: testdrives.
