So.
As I have the bottom of the engine bay off to do the alternator, how do I tell if it has a track day sump or not?

Where can I get a track day sump from?? My engine is out and the original ford sump is baffled anyway.. Apart from the extra oil capacity.. what are the key differences? Anyone have any pics or experience with their TDS? Any assistance is appreciated.

The track sump holds oil around the pick up (extended 30mm) as you can see in this pic,

You can also see it holds much more oil,

You will have to go to a dealer to buy one, just make sure your sitting down when you ask for the price! Hope that's of some help.

Or you can get a factory one converted with the larger capacity wings.
I'm just in the process of adding some baffling to mine to reduce the liklihood of oil surge away from the pick-up.
