Hi all,

Im looking to buy a HID kit for my 2001 Red Rose my problem is ive read various times on here that i need H7 bulbs but when i seach for Tuscan kits on ebay they are all H4???

Can anyone help as i want to order some asap after being caught out last night. The first time i have driven it at night and i thought i had a coulple of candles lighting my way!

Also to get to the bulbs i take it the main bonnet has to come off?

Many thanks

The H4 kit for the Tam uses a single bulb for dip/main beam. The Tuscan has separate bulbs for dip/main beam IIRC therefore requires the different bulb configuration. Aceparts (on fleebay) were who I purchased my HID kit from, they also have their own web site, you might try there.

You want an H7 kit, I installed this in my Cerbera (tuscan style lights) makes a huge difference.I bought mine of ebay for a £1 plus £30 postage from china they are the same as the £200 kits you buy in the UK!!!
Have a read at this thread it might be of some use.

Spend extra and make sure you get digital ballasts, otherwise you'll totally kill the radio reception when the lights are on.

H7 indeed...

Main bonnet has to come off, on both sides you'll find a black cover for the lights, which has to be undone too.

Bit of a fiddle to get the lights in, I think I screwed the ballast on the back of the cover.

Shameless plug maybe, but I ordered mine from the Elise shop in the NL wink

You'll have to buy separate blue tinted bulbs for the smaller front inset lights, apparently you cannot fit HID for those?

Here is the small bulb, fits into the smallest of the 3 front lights on the tuscan MK1

It's an Led and takes a few minutes to change but is a lot brighter, white rather than yellow.
