What is the LED near the drivers window switch for?

I really need an owners manual for this car - is there such a thing?

Top one is the ice detector, bottom one is for the alarm.

Excellent - thanks Nick.
Explains why it was orangey-yellow as I came in to work this morning (6:30), but had changed to green by the time I got in, half an hour later.

I usually use my cheeks for ice-detection - when it's below-zero, the top ones go red and the bottom ones get a bit squeaky

Just looked in my handbook 'Upon switching on the light will show yellow / green for a few seconds,then red for a further few seconds then will extinguish. In use it will show green if theair temp is 5degC or less, yellow/ orange 2degC or less and red if 0degC or less'. Oh and by the way the sensor is just behind the front fog lamp area and is prone to going open circit etc, so gives you a wrong reading, in other words ignore it!
