Increase or not, at least some non-jobber isn't paid £500 for putting some useless paperwork into a folder. Result.
The info in the HIP stopped me wasting time and money on a potential purchase. I can't be the only one where search info presented up front was useful. It was the the building regs decisions. Saved me from putting in an offer etc only to find at a later date that a load of work had been done, applications done under regs but no sign-off at a later date.
If the searches are sufficiently timely for a solicitor to use then having the info available upfront is a good thing for me. Much more use than the EPC!
