Address is Dutch registered also. Not saying that is a bad thing but people do say to buy event tickets from domains registered to UK companies.

I did look at this site couple of years ago when i booked once. I saw it was dutch registered and just ordered direct from the silverstone website. Same again this year. You can't go wrong with the offical site.

With my interest sparked by this thread and reading that Silverstone is by no means sold out I thought I'd take a look at the cost of tickets...

And it's certainly not cheap is it..! For myself and my wife, the cheapest way to be there is with bog standard general entry tickets at a total of £417.74 (including taxes, fees & the parking permit which is of course a necessity)

So that's over 400 quid to stand on a bit of concrete without budging for 3 hours because if you leave your spot you won't get it back! No wonder so many people watch it on TV instead.

I take it £417.74 is priced for both!? Wow, thats still expensive! Ive payed £136 for a 3 day general admission this year, booked via BookF1.com. We camp in a farmers field half a mile away north to the circuit for £7.50ea a night

Yeah that was priced on the official f1 web site and included a parking permit.

General admission is sold out, and has been since April.

People moan about the cost but some facts are....

Sunday is the worst value for money day to go as it's packed and you only get to see 4 Races (and a lot of people don't bother with the last one). Friday and Saturday you get less crowds, practice, quali and races! My ticket cost £260 odd, and for three days is well worth it.

I understand all that, I've been in the days when you could simply attend the race on Sunday and I've also taken my boys to watch qualification on the Friday in the days when they actually went for it, indeed we saw Mansell set the old course lap record. But that said, it's still bloody expensive if you don't want to spend all three days there.

I paid £300 for my tickets, sitting in Club B on the second row, last year my tickets cost me £250 and i was sitting in Club B in the first row.

I dont really think the general admission tickets are very good value, just go for the 3 day grandstand tickets and pay a bit extra, i ended up forking out just over £1200 this year on 4 tickets but we get the peace of mind on reserved seats.

Last year a group of us went but only 3 of us decided to get proper tickets the others all got general admission tickets, the result was that they got to the track at 7am hoping to find a good spot to stand and watch the race, all they saw was the back of other peoples heads. We turned up at the track at 12 and went and sat at our seats, no hassle at all.

Interesting, I last went back in 2000 when Jenson Button was in his first season with Williams. We got to the track around 10:00 and found a great spot at the exit of Copse where we could see the cars taking the corner and accelerating down towards Maggots, also we were opposite the end of the pit exit lane which meant we could really keep in touch with who was where after pit stops. There was a diamond vision screen behind us and we were about 3 or 4 rows back on the concrete steps. It sounds as though it has changed a lot since then and as you say, 10 years older and if I went again I would get grandstand seats!

+1 for grandstand/reserved seating.

I couldn't really afford to go but I had to so I shelled out £290 for Luffield B seats. It's soooo much better in the flesh than on the TV.

Now, if the wife had said yes when they were on early bird...

It is a lot of money, but well worth it in my opinion.

Got our pit straight tickets booked today Bit of a last minute decision to say the least, however my dad and I have been talking about doing this for a long long time and the GP is on the weekend of my birthday so we might as well go for it!

Bit of a hassle getting there as we have to fly from Aberdeen to Luton, then drive over to Silverstone. Hotel is in Bedford and we're planning to use the park and ride offered through bookf1.com; anyone used them before?

@£680 a bit bloody steep!

Last time I went was in 2006, I managed to get Luffield B grandstand tickets for £50 from Page & Moy, shows how different it was pre-hamilton and when button was not in the running for wins.

Also really glad I got Copse, it looked a great spot for appreciating cornering speeds last time.

Mrs Pablo and I booked tickets the week it was announced the race would be at silverstone. we paid £320 for a pair of tickets on sunday in the stowe c grandstand.

Really? i have not got mine yet, for the last few years running i have been getting them about a fortnight before race day

I've kinda got mine. They arrived last week.

However, the wife signed for them while I was at work and took the liberty of hiding them - if I don't do what she wants from now to the GP, I'll never see them again :yikes

I just hope she remembers where she hid them!!!!
