Purple car meet.

OK, so it was Fastlanegirl's idea but who fancies it? Be a bit of fun, it'd make for some good pics too.

So I know of my Cerbera, Poledrivers Cerbera, Fastlanegirls Porsche, Pete's Murcilago....any other takers?

Do cars that are black and flip to a purple pearl in the sun count?

what about my rs i know its mostly blue but does go burple in some light and does have purple metalflake in the paint

Just post a pic up Nick as it may look just blue when up against other purple cars.

I'd be up for it but have one wrapped and the other sorn. May get it the purple diablo out though.

Not sure where we are all based (I'm Brighton) but perhaps we could pick a convenient, picturesque location and a nice pub for lunch. Oh, and thrown in some decent country roads for a hoon too?

Thanks to a recommendation from our very own FUBAR I went to the Green Man in Partridge Green, West Sussex today. Absolutely superb food, the roads around the area are fabulous & lots of nice scenery for a photo shoot But I don't mind travelling somewhere more convenient for others.

I could do any weekend starting from July.

So, dates & venue suggestions please.

Oh, and everyone else will be wearing purple too right?

ETA: Any non-purple car South Coasters would be welcome along for the drive/lunch if they wanted to join in, meet some folks & gaze upon all that purple loveliness. Oh, & Pete you must have the Diablo to bring along!!

This is very true all I can say is our Island is bigger than yours We could meet you at the top of your Island on the way past..

NWVT wanted to join in, despite having a blue car He is a photographer too, although obviously Andwhynot is very welcome as well, the more pics the better.

Looking at locations, the Green Man is about an hour's drive for those coming from Hampshire way.

Alternatively to even it out a bit, we could look at somewhere around Arundel, which would be more or less halfway between me in East Sussex & you guys out West?

Or the Fox Runs Free in Goodwood? Closer to the western lot but I'm quite happy driving out, & the Fox is in a beautiful setting too.

Let me know if we have some pub suggestions, and do people prefer a Sat or a Sun for a meeting day? I was thinking of doing a morning so we can get some driving in before traffic starts, then grab some lunch, photos etc...?

but as you said the more photographers the better...

have yet to meet a bad photographer on the SC...

Sunday's preferred here, although, being a lazy sod would rather not an early morning one, only day I get to rest!

As for location, happy to go with the flow. The Fox is good.....but wait! I know the Landlord of a great pub on the A272 to the east of Petersfield, might be nice, but not a massive car park.

Mark - Sundays are fine, doesn't have to be early, those who want a drive before the roads crowd up could always meet beforehand anyway.

The 272 is a nice road, have a word with the pub if you don't mind & see if there is a way they could accommodate us. I'm not fussed on location, so throw some ideas out & we'll arrange.

Since no one else has started it, possible dates below, please copy & paste & strike out the ones you can't do:
