(sorry to bring it up again )

OK - I've managed to setup ICS on an ethernet LAN to connect my laptop to my desktop which has the internet connection. After some faffing around (and using a different firewall!) it's worked!

Next step - wireless

I have a cable modem with Ethernet and USB - good start I hear you say So if I get a wireless cable router (ie www.dabs.com/UK/productview?quicklinx=2SYH) and a wireless pcmcia card - that's it?

I'll need to install the NTL broadband kit on my laptop I assume? Then I won't need my desktop switched on to surf wirelessly?

Expansys had an offer on for a 54g DSL router and a 54g laptop card for only £80 delivered, I'm not sure if they still do.

It's a 3com bundle, and it's v. good

Should do the job nicely. Your BB modem should plug into the back of this (via ethernet cable).
