Im thinking about chopping my mk2.5 in for a mk3 and I have a couple of questions

When was the first year the mk3 had an electric hard top? (im after an electric hard top model btw)

Is their an easy way of telling if a mk3 has a suspension package fitted?

Apart from the suspension package, is their anything else that is a must on a mk3?

What colour should I get, I currently have a Black mk2.5, I dont like red, blue or silver, what other colours are available?

You could get the Roadster Coupe from 2007 onwards. A '5 with the lower suspension fitted should be pretty obvious to look at - here are some photos of mine "before" and "after".

Mk3's look nice in most colours to be honest, but Galaxy Grey is my favourite!

I'd be looking for a "Sport" with BOSE and Climate control smile.
This one is well priced: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2010...

I wouldn't be too fussed about finding a car with a suspension package fitted - it's only 300 to have one fitted and aligned so small potatoes in the scheme of things.

If I was buying a Mk3 (and I nearly did before getting the 3.5) then white is a nice colour if you ask me. There's only a couple around for sale (or at last there was when I was looking) - the Icon has some nice bits on it (red stictching in the the leather etc) and the 2 litre has a LSD. I was idly speculating about maybe doing some kind of homage to the JDM spec Anniversary model, with some trick wheels and custom trimmed interior.

ETA: I'm not sure on spec levels between models to be honest but heated seats would be a nice to have. I've not used mine yet as I've only had the car a month - but the mrs has, lol. And there's nothing better than a topless winter country blast and they'll be great to help keep the chill off when the temperature drops.
