Hi everyone,

I have an automatic watch that looks similar to a something GMT II. It's on approval, I belive it has an ETA movement. At first look it seemed to be running 20sec fast. I gave it back to the guy saying I would have it if he had it regulated to within a reasonable amount. The guy has said he's had it on a computer which said it was 5sec fast and has worn it himself with a gain of 55sec in a week, this would be acceptable to me.

I've taken it back for a further look and it still seems to be too fast for me, 15sec (I'm still checking it).

If I decide to have it I my have to pay to have it regulated myself. I would appreciate any feedback or advice in this area.

Thanks

mattley

If he gets 55s per week wearing it and you get 15s per day I'd ask are you wearing it or just leaving it in one position? This can affect timekeeping.

If you do decide to get it regulated I'd send it to Steve Burrage at Ryte Time Watch Repairs, it'll only cost about £15.
