Before I ring a local TV aerial 'fixer' and make myself look a tool can anyone give me some advice on them.

The problem I have is that the we are in a fringe reception area between 2 transmitters, Stockland hill and Mendip. We have a pretty good aerial with a masthead amplifier distributed to 4 points in the house. Now the recption is ok 60%, but on poor days we get a lot of picture break up and freezing especially on channels like 'Dave'. The aerial was recently taken down and put back up again when we had the roof done could ti be that is is just a little out of line? Or does that not make much of a difference in the digital transmission age? If not what is the sort of aerial I should be looking for and how much for fitter to fit it?

Ta very much,

Peter

We had reception problems with the front of the house getting a worse signal than the back even though they were fed from the same aerial. In the end they moved the aerial from the top of the chimney stack to on the eaves, which solved all the problems.

Maybe they've put it back at a slightly different height, as well as not possibly aligned correctly. Might be worth a look.
