Which Car tracker.........?
Discussion
After having our 2 month old Discovery stolen last week and having calmed down a bit, Im now sorting out getting the new car and considering the inconvenience this has caused I will be fitting a tracker to the new car. So the question is, which tracker? I have the top Cobra unit on the 911 but I didnt choose it, it is a Porsche factory fitted unit so am wondering which one to fit to the new Disco?
I have read up a little and there seems to be three ways to track a car VHF, GPS and GSM some use one of these, some use some/all of them.... Does anybody have any thoughts / insight into which tracker is the best to fit, I hear the Tracker Horizon is a good unit and isnt too expensive??
Any thoughts / experiences...?
cheers

I quite like the idea of this...

Either call your car and get its current GPS position, or have the unit call you when someone attempts to move it.
No idea if they're any good - the reviews seem mixed. Obviously you'd need to mount the unit just under the dash to get a good satellite fix.
