Firstly - is it a UK car (MX5) or a JDM car (Eunos Roadster)?

Secondly - open the drivers door there is a build sticker on the side - This tells you (off the top of my head) destination, VIN, Pain colour, Interior colour, which edition it was, etc etc. Will do you as a starter...?

From memory some of those details are also stamped into the drivers side firewall in the engine bay.

Import clues:
Added foglight with out of place looking switch.
Square rear plate.
Labels on seatbelts in Japanese with dates.
Double fold sun visors with japanese labels.
No frankenstein bolts.
Flare thing in passenger footwell.
Japanese coins under seat smile
Eunos type seats where headrest is not separate
AC and leather seats are more common on imports

All or some of these are sometimes changed by owners embarassed to own an import.

i had a quick look at the sticker on the door slam but it has faded and is illegible. the sticker under the bonnet is in Japanese.
all i was just interested in is whether it had any special extras which arent obviously visible like an LSD.
it does have a le mans syle petrol filler and a strut brace.
