AGP 4,5 Engine is stumbling

Does anyone know what that can be, when I Start the engine in cold condition it runs verry soft and if it´s warm it stumbels and the speedometer is going down when I accelerorate, and when I switch the light on then speedometer fells to zero. What can that bee? It stops some times when I switch off the engine and start it new. I have checked the 100 Amp. fuse (O.K.)

Degi - Do you mean the engine has low revs when you start from cold? And when you accelerate the revs drop and the engine hesitates?

You need to get the engine plugged into a laptop to run diagnostics. All you need is an old Laptop with a serial port and the diagnostics program which can be downloaded from here.....

I would guess you need to get the engine balanced - The AJP is a flat plane crankshaft V8, it is like having 2 4 cylinder engines bolted together using the same crankshaft, each 'engine' needs to be balanced.

Ich vermute, Sie brauchen, um den Motor ausgewogen - Die AJP ist eine flache Ebene V8 Kurbelwelle, wie es mit 2 4-Zylinder-Motoren miteinander verschraubt mit dem gleichen Kurbelwelle ist, jedem "Motor" muss ausgewogen sein.

If the car slows down when you push the accelerator pedal, it might be underfuelling. Check fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors etc.

Back to the original problem, does the speedo go down or the rev counter when you accelerate? It sounds electrical, possibly battery failing if you've checked the big fuse? As Alan said, the diagnostics would help give some more clues.

Degi,

When you say stumbling, do you mean hesitating and if you push the throttle down further does the engine pull cleanly? If so the problem is likely to be that the left and right bank throttle pots to not keep in sync. This is what the software can show you.
