Mileometer/Trip Stopped Working/Glove box Catch Broken

Mileometer and Trip meter have jammed/stopped working at 00,995. But the speedo still works , any ideas anyone ? And how does the speedo come out of the dash ?

Also the retaining catch in the dash for the Glove box has broken , are they easy to replace and who has the parts ? Thanks .

Thanks for the reply baretti. I did try resetting the trip but not thumping the glass, so will give that a go tomrow.
Cant un.stand why they all stick at 00,999 miles.

I find that flicking the trip meter reset button while moving always frees mine up - it's a bit less violent than whacking the glass!!! It has to be a flick though, as a push just won't do!!!

For the sticky mileometer...

On the advise (and demonstration)of Fernhursts a thump (HAARRRD!)on top of the dash (not the glass front!),whilst going 50 mph + usually frees them up .I have had to do it twice since at 999's and its worked.
